⚡A couple of AI tools I made for business authors

I've been focused on writing The AI-Powered Thought Leader and I developed a couple of simple AI tools for myself, that will also be useful for anyone writing (or who wants to write) a business book.

💸 These tools are completely free for anyone to use

📱 You must have a ChatGPT account (free or paid: both work) to use these

👁️ I do not see any of the input text or conversation (but OpenAI probably will!)

🔗 Click the links for the tool below and it’ll ask you to log in if you’re not already

Tool 1: Create Target Reader Profile

Understanding your audience is essential for any nonfiction author. This tool helps you quickly define your ideal reader, ensuring your content hits the mark.

If you’re writing a business book (or any type of nonfiction) this tool will help you clarify who you’re writing for.

You can either answer questions about your book, give it your website address, a competitor's website, or even a link to a book on Amazon, and it will create the profile.

This is perfect for when you're in early stages of planning your book.

Tool 2: Developmental Editor for Business Authors

Editing a book manuscript can be daunting, particularly developmental editing. This tool allows you to upload your manuscript in text format (.docx, .txt, and probably PDF) and get detailed, chapter-by-chapter feedback.

It highlights areas for improvement in structure, flow, and clarity, crucial for a compelling business book.

This is perfect for when you're in the later stages of editing your book.

➡️ Access the Developmental Editor tool here.

These tools might not be useful to everyone, but for those who can’t use them directly, consider the broader potential of custom GPTs. They can be tailored to meet a wide range of needs, making them versatile tools for various applications.

You just made a critical business decision in 30 seconds that took your competitor two weeks to figure out. That instinctive call you made? An Honest Look at My AI-Powered Workday Many people think of AI as a simple chatbot - but I get more done by managing it like a cross-functional team. Today, it became my strategist, researcher, and tech lead (simultaneously). Background: As a self-employed consultant juggling multiple business functions, I've been wondering just how much my productivity has truly improved with AI. I've also been sharing some productivity gains in recent posts, and many of you have asked questions about my...

Over the past couple of years working with businesses implementing AI, I'm seeing a growing gap that will become harder to bridge over time. On one side businesses are taking imperfect action to implement AI today. They're fully aware that AI is not perfect. They're not making wild bets or believing in AI hype. They're simply: identifying specific operational bottlenecks where AI can remove friction, and building systems that help their people deliver value. On the other side are businesses...
